Caroline Herschel Tea Towel x Judy Chicago

$36.00 USD
Description
Third Drawer Down in collaboration with Judy Chicago presents the Caroline Herschel Linen Tea Towel. The design has been pulled from one of the place settings from Chicago's famous The Dinner Party . This piece was a milestone for the artist and a very important moment in 1970s feminist art.
The settings on the Dinner Party's triangular form consisted of embroidered runners, gold chalices and utensils, and china-plated porcelain plates with raised motifs based on vulvar and butterfly forms unique to the woman being honored.

Caroline Herschel was an astronomer, who discovered several comets one in which bears her name.
